SIMPLE TO USE:
After removing your ceiling light fixture, check to see where the ceiling joist are (you can check with a stud
finder or with a thin screwdriver on each side of your ceiling box to locate the ceiling joist. Be sure to use a
thin screwdriver so the holes can be easily filled.) Your ceiling box may be hung between 2 ceiling joist by
a hanger bar. After locating the first ceiling joist, check the spacing at 16″ on center or 24″ on center, to
find the joist that is supporting the other side of the hanger bar.
