Had ceiling fan that was installed improperly from previous owners of house. Went to put in new ceiling fan and noticed they used a plastic box mounted to one rafter on a vaulted ceiling. Plastic box had broken causing our problems. Went to YouTube and found the EZ Brace 101. No tearing out of ceiling or the old box! Screws in securely……..

Made an unfortunate but not surprising discovery when replacing ceiling fan- prev owners did not use a brace or ceiling fan bracket and installed fan in standard junction box. Was struggling to find a solution that didn’t involve serious alterations and saw this in a YouTube video and immediately ordered. This was simple to install and my ceiling fan is now solidly mounted.
